Expanding on her remarks, Irene L. Kofi, Managing Partner of Nanteyie Travel Advisory, highlighted the need for a mindset shift among Ghanaian visa applicants, especially those planning to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026.
She noted that beyond documentation, applicants must demonstrate strong ties to Ghana, including stable employment, business ownership, or family commitments. These factors, she explained, help assure visa officers that travelers intend to return home after their visit.
“Many people underestimate how important their personal profile is,” she said. “It’s not just about having money in your account. Your story, your purpose of travel, and your ties to your home country all matter.”
Kofi also addressed common mistakes such as submitting incomplete forms, providing inconsistent information, or failing to attend interviews well-prepared. She urged applicants to take time to understand each step of the visa process rather than rushing through it.
In addition, she encouraged group travelers—especially corporate bodies and fan clubs—to work with reputable travel advisors to ensure proper coordination and compliance with embassy requirements.
According to her, with the World Cup expected to attract millions of visitors, competition for visas will be high, making it even more important for applicants to stand out positively.
She concluded by reminding Ghanaians that visa approval is not automatic, but with discipline, honesty, and proper preparation, their chances can improve significantly. Nanteyie Travel Well
